OSM IMX8MP module help

  Hello all,

  I am new to this forum, recently, I have been looking into the OSM IMX8MP module as a replacement of SMARC IMX8MP. There seems to be no official Yocto source code or even a subforum on this website beside the blog post. 

  I understand that this module is in early development, when is this module will be officially supported and the code will be available?

  Hi Yu Kang, 

  OSM-IMX8MP is a product that is "hanging" for the moment, reason being the LPDDR4 status making the product economically no longer viable. 

  See it like this, in Jan 2025 4GB LPDDR 4 costs 25 USD (fictive) then today that same 4GB would cost 150 USD 

  The same calculation for LPDDR5 is totally different (although also not optimum) 

  Launching a product  under these circumstances prob. will not happen
