Hi Peter,
It certainly does, there are 2 PCIe lanes going to the M.2 connector which would give you a very decent speed
other 2 PCIe lanes go to connector B, this could be 5G modem for example.

We connect a M.2 SSD to connect B, but we have not got any messages from linux kernel.
The SSD we use is Transcend TS1TMTS430S, it is a M.2 2242 SSD.

Looking at the partnumber you provided this is a SATA drive, note that you need NVMe storage
Sadly SATA is on it's way out in most of the arm based SOC's
